Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Associate to join our team in Gurugram, India. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for supporting deal evaluation, transaction execution, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Evaluation: Validate industry thesis, develop investment angles, conduct competitive industry and market analysis, and provide recommendations.
- Transaction Execution: Assist in financial modeling and analysis, industry analysis, preparation of internal memos and reports, diligence in specific areas, and documentation and transaction structuring.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor day-to-day portfolio company performance, follow global industry trends and competitive landscape, analyze and prepare for board meetings.
- Research Support: Conduct market data research, including competitive analysis, PE/fund raising landscape, and regular usage of financial and research databases like Bloomberg, Pitchbook, Factiva, etc.
- Fund Analytics and Investor Relations: Assist in preparing quarterly fund reporting packages, overall fund analytics, and support investor relations function.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications:
We seek a candidate with a minimum of two years of relevant business experience, preferably in Private Equity, buy-side firms, or Investment Banking (M&A, Corporate Finance). Strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of finance and accounting, and ability to interact with top management teams are essential.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, including an undergraduate degree from a reputable university and a postgraduate degree in business/accounting from a premier institute.
