
Regional Sales Strategist

Job Summary:
The Area Business Development Manager is a pivotal role that requires an individual with exceptional business acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales growth. This role entails overseeing the entire sales process, from product availability to driving sales performance efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective distribution strategies to ensure seamless product supply to retailers.
- Motivate channel partners to achieve engaged and evolved business practices.
- Monitor and optimize distributor ROI to maintain competitiveness.
- Create and adhere to processes for timely supply to retailers, ensuring inventory management at distributors and geography levels.
- Evaluate stock condition and establish guardrails to prevent stock deterioration.
- Manage secondary claims and resolve issues efficiently.
Growth Management:
- Manage secondary and primary geographic areas, focusing on quarterly and monthly sales progression.
- Ensure weekly sales flights are maintained and monitor product availability across all SKUs.
- Develop new products (NPD) and foster growth through strategic planning.
- Manage competition benchmarking and track regional competition activity.
Spend Management:
- Implement channel-specific approaches tailored to each region's needs.
- Plan tradeloads to increase volume and visibility while managing sales returns effectively.
People Management:
- Foster a healthy work environment across regions.
- Track expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in operations.
- Cultivate close relationships with cross-functional teams, including CFA, HE, Finance, Marketing, and other divisions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and distribution within the FMCG industry, with a focus on General Trade.
- In-depth knowledge of geography and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
