The senior spa therapist plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, guiding junior therapists, and ensuring the smooth operation of the spa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience:
    • Deliver personalized, premium spa treatments to high-profile guests.
    • Conduct thorough consultations to understand guest needs and recommend tailored treatments.
    • Maintain exceptional levels of guest comfort, discretion, and satisfaction throughout their spa journey.
  • Advanced Treatment Delivery:
    • Perform a full range of specialized therapies, including massage, facials, holistic wellness, and body scrubs/wraps.
    • Stay updated on luxury spa techniques, international wellness trends, and high-end product lines.
    • Train and mentor junior therapists in treatment protocols, guest service, and professional grooming standards.
  • Operational Team Support:
    • Collaborate with the Spa Manager to optimize daily operations, therapist scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Regularly audit treatments to maintain brand and quality standards.
    • Provide on-the-job training, refresher sessions, and guidance for new spa team members.
  • Hygiene & Standards:
    • Ensure that treatment rooms and spa facilities meet 5-star cleanliness and presentation standards.
    • Monitor therapists' adherence to hygiene protocols, safety guidelines, and spa SOPs.
  • Sales & Revenue Contribution:
    • Lead by example in achieving individual and team retail sales and treatment revenue targets.
    • Promote high-value spa packages, memberships, and premium products to enhance guest experience.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy, or Holistic Wellness is required.
  • Additional certifications in specialized techniques, such as Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, Thai, and Reflexology, are preferred.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of luxury spa or hotel experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or lead therapist role, is necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have mastery of multiple massage and wellness modalities.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership abilities are essential.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills, with fluency in English (other languages are an advantage).
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in high-pressure situations.
