Job Opportunity

A leading organization is seeking a Data Engineer to support the development and deployment of pricing logic for an e-commerce platform serving the life sciences sector.

This role emphasizes usability and interface design for internal tools that enable experimentation, pricing configuration, and real-time monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain ETL Pipelines: Develop efficient and reliable pipelines for pricing, shipping, and behavioral datasets.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Product Managers: Support model development and experimentation by working closely with data scientists and product managers.
  • Develop APIs or Backend Logic: Implement dynamic pricing algorithms using APIs or backend logic.
  • Create Internal Dashboards and Tools: Design and develop user-friendly internal tools or interfaces for experimentation, pricing configuration, and real-time monitoring.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Reliability: Guarantee data quality, reliability, and documentation across systems.
  • Perform Feature Engineering: Feed predictive and optimization algorithms with engineered features.
  • Aggregate and Transform High-Dimensional Datasets: Ensure modeling efficiency and robustness by aggregating and transforming high-dimensional datasets at scale.
  • Optimize Algorithm Performance: Optimize algorithm performance for real-time and large-scale deployment.
Requirements
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to various tasks and come up with creative solutions to unforeseen challenges.
  • Ability to Onboard Immediately: Demonstrated ability to onboard immediately and start contributing to the team.
  • 3+ Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering or backend development.
  • Strong Hands-On Experience: Strong hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Python and SQL Expertise: Strong Python and SQL expertise; experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Design and Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to design and develop user-friendly internal tools or interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Experimentation Systems: Familiarity with experimentation systems and monitoring infrastructure.
  • Experience Handling Large-Scale Datasets: Experience handling large-scale, high-dimensional datasets efficiently.
  • MLOps Experience: MLOps experience is preferred.
  • Domain Experience: Domain experience in e-commerce is preferred; knowledge of the pharmaceutical or scientific supply sector is a strong advantage.
