Job Description

Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough cost/pricing analysis in the bid and proposal process to contribute to the company's profitability. This involves managing the overall cost/pricing process, analyzing customer requirements, developing competitive bid pricing, and contributing to winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Drafting strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects
  • Creating reports reflecting metrics and project status, client-level profit and loss statements, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Communicating findings effectively to relevant departments
  • Working with the sales and delivery teams to define pricing structures for company services
  • Reading and understanding technical/requirement documents and legal documents such as customer contracts
  • Identifying opportunities based on market trends and industry conditions
  • Defining ideal pricing structures and sales funnels
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 5-8 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong networks with senior internal and external personnel in their area of expertise
  • Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Proven experience developing clear and accurate deliverables from subject matter expert (SME) and technical source materials
  • Prior experience building pricing models
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus and partnerships
