
Optimize Procurement Trends and Drive Cost Savings as a Vendor Managed Inventory Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vendor Managed Inventory Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for optimizing procurement trends, negotiating with manufacturers and vendors, and implementing group-wide price agreements for high-value medical supplies.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting VMI analysis to identify optimization opportunities and monitor procurement trends
- Leading strategic negotiations with manufacturers and vendors, setting new benchmarks for pricing and service
- Driving and maintaining group-wide price agreements for high-value and critical medical supplies
- Managing group-level vendor relationships with a focus on performance, delivery, and compliance in VMI operations
- Ensuring smooth implementation and operations of VMI systems across all hospital units
- Overseeing timely receipt of agreed credit notes and Trade Offer Discounts (TODs) from vendors
- Implementing, monitoring, and auditing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to VMI for all units
- Tracking and reconciling VMI stock across all units to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability
- Leading the creation and implementation of brand recommendations based on clinical, financial, and operational inputs
- Monitoring compliance with brand recommendations and measuring resultant cost savings
- Ensuring adherence to statutory guidelines to prevent any legal or regulatory non-compliances
- Proactively addressing and preventing audit observations and risks related to VMI practices
- Developing and implementing a markup policy for vendor-managed items in line with pricing strategy
- Maintaining and updating a discount tracker to ensure visibility, transparency, and realization of negotiated benefits
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Healthcare Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management, preferably in a healthcare/hospital setting
- Proven experience in vendor negotiations, compliance, and SOP implementation
- Strong understanding of healthcare procurement dynamics, regulatory requirements, and VMI models

- Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
