Supply Chain Manager

Transform your organization by leading the procurement function with strategic sourcing and category management expertise.
Job Purpose:
To lead the procurement team in developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and services that ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted production in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories, including raw materials, solvents, catalysts, packaging, and engineering supplies.
- Market Analysis: Monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international).
- Negotiation & Agreement Management: Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with REACH, RoHS, and other regulatory guidelines in procurement contracts.
- Cost Optimization & Budgeting: Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
- Inventory & Supply Assurance: Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimum stock levels while minimizing working capital.
- Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Digitalization & Automation: Drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes using ERP systems.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company compliance standards.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
- Skillset: Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation. Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
