Procurement Specialist

This is a critical role that enables timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Identify and onboard reliable suppliers for materials, components, and services.
    • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
    • Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Develop long-term relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular audits.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Work closely with teams to forecast material requirements.
    • Maintain optimal stock levels.
    • Coordinate logistics for deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Cost & Quality Optimization:
    • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure procured items meet specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA.
  • 2–5 years in procurement, preferably in the automobile industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
