Procurement Manager Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing procurement activities to meet the project's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Procurement Planning: Plan and coordinate the procurement of materials in line with the project budget and execution schedule.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with the planning team and execution team to ensure seamless communication and procurement execution.
  • Vendor Development & Procurement Execution: Develop and execute procurement strategies, including vendor identification, sourcing, negotiation, and evaluation.
  • Procurement Tracking & Delivery: Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials at site as per the project timeline.
  • Cost Control & Quality Assurance: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring material quality and timely project completion.
  • Inventory & Store Management: Manage and control the site store, oversee material handling, and ensure accurate billing and inventory tracking.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, delivery receipts, stock registers, and physical stock verifications.
Requirements:
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Vendor Management: Experience in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and evaluating vendor performance.
  • Inventory Management: Knowledge of inventory management principles, including stock control, ordering, and distribution.
  • Cost Control: Understanding of cost control principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
