  • Job Description:
  • As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers that meet our quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
  • You will lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms, while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Additionally, you will coordinate with the PO creation team to create, amend, and manage purchase orders in accordance with project timelines and requirements. Ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of orders is also essential.
  • Market Analysis:
  • You will conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers. This information will be used to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Multi-functional Collaboration:
  • You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other collaborators to understand project needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • You will collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and monitor supplier performance metrics, ensuring that all procured items meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier communications, and contract agreements. Prepare and present procurement reports to management as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Find opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function, implementing standard processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the high voltage or electrical engineering sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, follow-up and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to high voltage substations is a plus.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
  • Experience with contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
