Job Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Intern to join our team.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed research on corporate, commercial, intellectual property, and other non-litigation legal matters.
  • They will stay updated on legal amendments and regulatory developments.
  • Assistance in drafting and reviewing agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, and other legal documents is also expected.
  • The role involves preparing internal reports, legal memos, and opinions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with company law, labor law, intellectual property law, and other applicable statutes is crucial.
  • Additionally, they will assist in preparing and maintaining compliance records for audits and filings.
  • Collaboration with senior associates or lawyers to address client requirements is also an essential part of the job.
  • Gathering and organizing case-related information from clients is another key responsibility.
  • Participation in due diligence exercises related to mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions is required.
  • Organizing and reviewing corporate documents and reports for compliance is also necessary.
  • Supporting the team in trademark, copyright, or patent filing and management processes is also involved.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed a degree in LLB (Bachelor of Law) or equivalent legal studies is essential.
  • A strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and related fields is required.
  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also required.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills is crucial.
