Job Description:

The role holder is responsible for driving the business strategy and execution in a specified region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning
  • Develops and implements strategic plans in line with divisional objectives to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Supports workforce planning by providing inputs on departmental forecasts to ensure accurate resource allocation.
  • Manages operating frameworks, provides guidance and support, and ensures implementation and review of work processes to achieve high performance standards and continuous improvement.
Main Objectives:
  • Drive business growth in the region through effective strategy execution.
  • Prepare yearly Business Development Plans in line with the bank's strategy to meet revenue and growth objectives.
  • Achieve target budgets for new and existing clients while managing budget and financials to minimize non-performing assets.
  • Formulate region-specific strategies for product growth and collaborate with Product Development Teams to drive innovation.
  • Manage talent development, including career management, coaching, and mentoring to ensure succession planning and leadership development.
  • Develop recruitment and resourcing strategies to attract and retain top talent in the region.
  • Ensure adherence to quality principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Sponsor quality initiatives and maintain stringent fraud control policies.
Talent Management:
  • Develop a continuous talent pipeline for key roles in the department.
  • Mentor high potential talent in the team to ensure effective succession planning.
  • Monitor and enable goal achievement for direct reports and implement the performance management process.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to individuals to achieve defined goals.
Risk and Control:
  • Govern the implementation of risk-related policies and processes to meet regulatory and internal control requirements.
  • Review internal control systems and take corrective action based on audit findings.
