Academic Leader & University Chief

The role of Academic Leader & University Chief is to lead a medical university with purpose, vision, and heart. The position holder oversees various responsibilities, including academics, research excellence, operations, financial leadership, student experience, success, and well-being.

This position requires strategic thinking, innovation, and strong leadership skills to build teams, nurture talent, and ensure students and faculty thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Academic Leadership
    • Develop and implement strategies to align with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare.
    • Drive curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment improvement based on learning outcomes, technological advancements, and industry needs.
  2. Research and Innovation Development
    • Build a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding.
    • Establish institutional frameworks and administrative systems to facilitate cutting-edge research and seamless academic operations.
  3. Institutional Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
    • Oversee the functioning of statutory bodies, such as the Academic Council, Finance Committee, and Board of Management.
  4. External Engagement and Representation
    • Represent the institution at national and international platforms to enhance visibility and reputation.
    • Establish partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries.
  5. Student Success
    • Champion student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development.
    • Create a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment.
