HSBC is seeking a talented Strategic Corporate Acquisition Manager to join our team and help us grow our business in the corporate sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new corporate clients, building strong relationships with key influencers, and collaborating with our corporate banking and global banking teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To have a strong proven record in corporate acquisition and business development.
  • To present a competitive employee salary account proposition to key decision makers of corporates and help the bank gain entry into new markets.
  • To network and build strong relationships with key influencers in all corporates empaneled and targeted for empanelment.
  • To collaborate with corporate banking and global banking teams to leverage internal opportunities and drive business growth.
  • To grow the market share of existing empaneled corporates by engaging with key influencers and implementing marketing events and promotions.
  • To ensure the quality of corporates acquired and maintain due observance of HSBC internal control standards.

Requirements:

  • Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Excellent relationship building and senior stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong planning, analytical, decision-making, lateral thinking, and project management skills.
  • Able to navigate conflicting strategic priorities and decisions.
  • A result-oriented professional with understanding of risk management and credit.

Desired:

  • A natural flair for meeting people and participating in events for startups and key decision makers of important corporates.
  • Ability to fix appointments through social media with startup founders, incubators, and influencers for enhancement of engagement and relationship onboarding.
  • Understanding of customer needs and providing feedback to internal product and marketing teams for change or modification of the proposition and alignment to market needs.
  • Ability to create new engagement models with existing and new customers for deeper penetration of products and services.

Education Qualifications / Certifications and Requirements:

  • Graduate with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in corporate acquisition and business development.
