We are seeking a strategic leader to build and scale our ocean and air product vertical in India.

This is not a maintenance role – it's a build-and-scale mandate, where you'll take full ownership of one of the largest and most critical profit and loss statements in the company.

As a country director, you will lead a team that develops and maintains relations with ocean carrier partners, including global and regional partners.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and pricing our ocean and air marketplace coverage, managing a large diverse team of leaders, and executing global carrier strategy and development on regional trade carrier strategy.

You will also be responsible for procuring competitive market rates, designing products, and managing yield, as well as responding to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of prior ocean freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier, or 15+ years of supply chain experience and a BA/BS degree.

Key skills include strategic vision, ground floor execution, bias to action, process, structure, and data, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, an obsession with client happiness, ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally, courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it, and the desire to lead, train, and develop up-and-coming talent.
