For our Company in Mumbai , we are looking for Head of Ocean Pricing & Operations who will be responsible for defining and executing the overall strategy for ocean freight pricing and operational excellence across D.B. Group India. The role holds direct responsibility for the centralized Ocean Pricing team based in Mumbai, which provides pricing support across all Indian branches, and functional responsibility for the local Ocean Operations staff in each branch, ensuring alignment with national standards and service objectives.

What will be the Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the national ocean freight strategy, ensuring alignment with global standards and continuous process improvement.
  • Oversee daily ocean operations, ensuring timely, compliant execution and service consistency across locations.
  • Optimize end-to-end logistics functions, including transport, warehousing, and distribution, in line with the company's QMS.
  • Negotiation and management of freight procurement contracts for sea shipments, both import and export.
  • Supervise ocean freight pricing activities, from spot quotes to tenders, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and visibility.
  • Monitor financial performance, drive profitability, and support data-driven decisions through ongoing analysis.
  • Lead and develop national teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What we are looking for:

  • A proactive, goal-oriented professional with solid experience of at least 8-10 years in Ocean freight forwarding (pricing and operations);
  • Strong numerical ability and familiarity with data analysis;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills;
  • Previous experience of CargoWise;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
