For our Company in Mumbai , we are looking for an Ocean Pricing Senior , who will be responsible for managing and preparing commercial offers related to ocean freight services, both import and export. The role involves conducting detailed analyses of shipping requirements in order to provide timely and customized quotations, while ensuring the company's profit margins are maintained.

What will your key activities be:

  • Implementing the commercial strategy for Ocean services and ensuring its effective execution;
  • Applying company best practices for Ocean services, monitoring compliance, and collecting feedback to align with market and customer needs;
  • Preparing quotations for both spot and tariff-based shipments, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction;
  • Coordinating initial operational instructions for import and export shipments;
  • Negotiating rates for origin/destination-related services with foreign/local agents, consolidators, trucking companies, and shipping lines;
  • Identifying supplier strengths and weaknesses to support strategic sourcing decisions;
  • Managing customer follow-ups on quotations and developing proposals for recurring shipments;
  • Reviewing rate proposals and streamlining the quotation process for efficiency.

What we are looking for:

  • A proactive, goal-oriented professional with a proven track record of at least 4-5 years in similar roles;
  • Good analytical and conceptual reasoning skills;
  • Strong numerical ability and familiarity with data analysis;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills;
  • Good command of the English language;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
  • Strong understanding of Ocean freight operations;
  • Familiarity with CargoWise and/or Salesforce.
