Job Overview:
This is a Government sales position requiring in-depth knowledge of how technology is used to enable business goals or overcome business challenges. The successful candidate will have strategic thinking and planning skills, coupled with tactical execution of identified business opportunities. They will be responsible for managing all facets of the relationship with Government accounts in North America, ensuring revenue goals are met. They will maintain contact at relevant levels in the accounts, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship. They must be able to build and maintain relationships effectively and communicate at all levels.
The primary responsibilities of this role include selling the organization's products or services to and maintaining relationships with existing Gov/State/SPU accounts. They will also be responsible for expanding and retaining accounts, while ensuring ongoing customer service. Additionally, they will identify and qualify long-term and short-term business opportunities, proactively identifying and addressing competitive threats.
This is a quota-carrying role, requiring strong negotiation and closing skills, as well as advanced client interfacing and customer-focused approach. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of direct work experience in a similar role, preferably in State Government or Central Ministries. They must have strong solution selling and presentation abilities, as well as effective use of internal relationships and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain contact with account at a high, executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship
- Sell the organization's products or services to and maintain relationships with existing Gov/State/SPU accounts
- Identify and qualify long-term and short-term business opportunities and proactively address competitive threats
- Prepare formal proposals and presentations, present to all levels of the organization, including executives, lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and close sales in a professional and effective manner
- Manage key partner relationships and develop innovative technical solutions to maximize F5's footprint and customer satisfaction
- Assume a leadership role in coordinating account strategy and tactics for sales support team (inside sales, systems engineering, sales management)
- Develop and maintain detailed account profiles, including organizational charts, and review them with management on a quarterly basis
Requirements:
- BS / MBA degree preferred
- 10-15 years of direct work experience in a similar role, preferably in State Government or Central Ministries
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Advanced client interfacing and customer-focused approach
- Effective use of internal relationships and resources
- Strong solution selling and presentation abilities
- Ability to manage time and prioritize workload, develop and manage pipeline and forecasting
- Understanding of Indian Public Business landscape (Central, PSU and States)
