Job Opportunity

Desktop Support Specialist
  • Provide on-site and remote technical assistance for end-users, resolving hardware and software-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system and application-related problems, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade end-user devices and software in accordance with IT policies.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies within the Active Directory framework.
  • Support connectivity issues, encompassing LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and IP telephony infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Log incidents and service requests accurately in the IT service management tool and follow through to resolution.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and profile configuration.
  • Participate in IT asset inventory, audits, and compliance reporting activities.
  • Maintain documentation, FAQs, and user guides for common technical issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT end-user support or desktop support is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking principles is essential.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Outlook/Exchange, and remote support tools is necessary.
  • Familiarity with IT service management/ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow or ManageEngine, is beneficial.
  • Understanding of IT security, endpoint protection, and patching strategies is also important.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices and collaboration tools, such as Teams and Zoom, is advantageous.
