Job Title Area Manager

Job Purpose

This role is a strategic position responsible for driving revenue growth in assigned areas. The Area Manager will develop and execute business plans to meet sales and revenue targets, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Revenue Management

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets for assigned geographies.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecast monthly sales, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve overall business objectives.
  • Drive AEPs for new business/student acquisition and re-registration of students and fee collection.

Channel Management and Business Development

  • Manage sales teams, engage, and drive AEP owners to achieve sales targets.
  • Aid AEP's in engaging with corporates for Business Development and building brand awareness in the assigned geographical area.

Operations and Process Implementation

  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to evaluate sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure AEP compliance with AEP agreements and implementation of University policies in the field.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Team Management

  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and guidance to the sales team to enhance their performance and professional development.
  • Set clear sales targets, track individual and team progress, and take corrective actions when necessary.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and achieve overall business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, team members, clients, and partners.

Requirements

  • Aggressive, self-driven personality with proven experience in sales, preferably in the EdTech industry or a related field.
  • Ability to understand the market and drive results for the assigned geography.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team setup.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Requirements - Education and Work Experience

  • Preferred to have Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience of 10 to 12 years of work experience in sales and channel management, preferably from Education/Training, BFSI, Real estate, Telecom, Retail or consumer goods & services, new age industries.
  • Exposure to Distance/Online Education sector will be an added advantage.
