Sales Director Job Description

As a Sales Director at AccorHotel, you will be responsible for coordinating sales operations with other departments, developing and maintaining business relations with customers, and ensuring the maintenance of a customer database. You will also be responsible for targeting new customers and sales opportunities, initiating action plans to approach and secure new business, and assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing in the development of the Strategic Sales Plan. Additionally, you will conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the hotel, attend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility, and update the Director of Sales & Marketing on market trends and business leads. You will also coordinate all activities to maintain and increase business volume, including advertising, sales promotions, personal selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, employee training, and guest relations. Furthermore, you will identify new business by generating new leads, assist the Director of Sales & Marketing to prepare Annual Sales goals, develop working plans to carry out goals, compare actual achievements against goals, and take necessary corrective action. You will also meet or exceed agreed sales targets, review internal promotion material on a regular basis to ensure consistency with standards set by management, and work closely with the Assistant Manager Public Relations to improve relations between the Organization and the society at large to obtain maximum media coverage of activities within the premises which are of interest locally and internationally. You will maintain a productive and professional relationship with all clients, submit monthly and weekly sales plan and market analysis, and daily sales/activity reports, and maintain close contacts within the neighboring hospitality sectors with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs, professional associates, etc. to capture business. Additionally, you will develop and promote the organization's image and awareness by direct mail campaigns, and handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by management.
