About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at BookMyShow. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sponsorship sales and revenue growth across all our verticals, including college events, artist tours, and IPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and driving sponsorship sales/revenue targets for the company across all its verticals
  • Building data & intelligence to better understand the market, including categories that are spending and upcoming brand launches/re-launches
  • Maintaining relationships and contacts across brand categories with key account holders within each brand
  • Creating and developing assets for sponsorship, including a tier-wise marketing stack and base sponsorship deck for every IP/event being explored by the live entertainment team
  • Identifying potential strategic partners for IPs across categories and collating this into pitchlists
  • Understanding the sales cycle, decision makers, and influencers in the process (both at the client & agency end) and taking a solution-oriented approach to address brand objectives via the event
  • Having an appreciation of brands - their marketing needs, activation platforms, and valuation metrics/criteria
  • Ability to understand media assets available, their values to value, and pitch a deal

Requirements:

  • Energetic, young, self-starter with proven credentials in sales - preferably sponsorship of IPs/Events, TV properties, or Media sales
  • Deep networks and access to clients within the marketing and agency world, with tangible examples of these networks, pitches made, and deals successfully closed
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team (IP lead & team, Brand solutions, servicing, and operations) within Tribe Vibe & external stakeholders to ensure all necessary ammunition is available to make a pitch, maximize deliverables, and close a deal
  • Start-up/sleeves-rolled-up mindset and attitude
  • 6-7 years of experience in sales, preferably in sponsorship sales or a related field
  • Commercially astute and customer-focused individual with a solid sales track record and a proven ability to foster strong business relationships
  • Confident individual able to present to business leaders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
