Collection Specialist Role

The role of a Collection Specialist involves managing customer payments, maintaining records, and negotiating with clients to ensure timely payment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • FOLLOW UP WITH CUSTOMERS FOR PENDING OR OVERDUE PAYMENTS
  • Make outbound collection calls and send reminder emails/SMS
  • Maintain daily records of collections and follow-up status
  • Negotiate and convince customers for timely payment
  • Resolve payment-related queries or disputes
  • Coordinate with internal teams for billing or account issues
  • Update collection status in CRM or collection management tools
  • Achieve monthly and weekly collection targets
  • Escalate high-risk or non-cooperative cases to the manager
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Capacity to negotiate with customers to achieve timely payment.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain accurate records and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software and other collection management tools.
