About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to lead our Demand & Raw Material Planning efforts at BASF India Limited. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in ensuring efficient supply chain management for our ECO division, driving operational goals, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for supply chain resilience, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize operations and mitigate risks.
  • Lead Raw Material planning for the ECO division, ensuring timely supply and maintaining inventory levels across distribution centers.
  • Participate in monthly demand review meetings with the Sales team, identifying demand outliers and driving corrective action.
  • Conduct Raw Material review meetings, providing key inputs to management for ECO operations and driving supply chain performance.
  • Develop and execute operations planning for site operations, coordinating with key stakeholders for smooth execution.
  • Meet yearly planning numbers for EC products, driving smooth supply chain operations and ensuring timely raw material replenishment.
  • Plan raw material replenishment based on finished goods planning derived from sales forecasts.
  • Work with local and regional teams to develop alternative sources of key raw materials.
  • Coordinate with regional product management and Procurement teams for raw material sourcing strategies and contingency planning.
  • Provide projections to regional SCM counterparts for intercompany raw materials and coordinate with them for timely supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and provide inventory projections to regional teams based on sales forecasts.
  • Conduct regular analysis of supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and driving process optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, resolve issues, and drive supply chain performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the supply chain.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies for obsolete inventory disposition.
  • Drive supply chain process improvement, optimizing costs, and identifying asset capacity bottlenecks to meet long-term sales projections.
  • Effectively manage supply chain crises, guiding the team through challenging times.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating team members to achieve overall organization goals.

Supply Chain Performance Management

  • Inventory monitoring, with a focus on local KPIs and reporting.
  • Raw Material Forecast Accuracy, using DMT FCA reports (internal and external).
  • NCM monthly reporting, with a focus on local KPIs and reporting.
  • Delivery Services, with a focus on local KPIs and reporting.
  • Shared material planning, with a focus on consolidation and effective communication.
  • Saving projects, driving supply chain performance, and monitoring KPIs.
  • Efficient management of digital tools.

People Management

  • Drive planner upskilling programs, driving team development and performance.
  • Strong entrepreneurial and stakeholder management.

Required Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and compliance standards in supply chain management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, with a focus on a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management.
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or APICS certification, are a plus.
  • +10 years of relevant experience in Logistics or Supply Chain functions.
  • Soft skills, including MS Office (Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint), proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
