Costing Role at Mangalore Minerals Pvt Ltd

Maintain and compute actual and standard costing for Mangalore Minerals Pvt Ltd, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process. Proactively analyze variances between actual and standard costing to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for standard costing, either manually or through our software program.
  • Review journal entries meticulously for anomalies and inconsistencies.
  • Compile and analyze product-related costing reports for submission to senior management.
  • Calculate finished goods standard cost for selling price.
  • Assist the Staff Accountant in suggesting changes to policies or procedures to enhance cash flow.
  • Review rates of depreciation, labor, and overhead, and suggest policy changes to improve numbers.
  • Classify costs accurately.
  • Generate PPV reports and analyze findings.
  • Establish and update standard costs as necessary.
  • Maintain and review the general ledger, and reconcile balance sheets.
  • Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies, and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors.
