
Senior Business Development Manager

About the Role:- This is a senior-level position that will focus on driving business growth in specific industry verticals/territories.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, marketing, and business development.
- Develop sales plans for assigned vertical/territory by identifying potential clients, highlighting customer requirements, and forecasting market trends.
- Monitor sales targets at the territory/vertical level on a weekly basis, highlighting deviations and initiating corrective action as required.
- Negotiate and finalize terms with clients in terms of product specifications, payment terms, and timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers in the territory to facilitate deep understanding of their needs and direct swift resolution of any customer queries.
- Identify opportunities for integrated solutions, i.e., orders involving motors/automation products systems.
- Liaise with operations teams to ensure execution of orders in line with predefined timelines and criteria.
- Communicate changes in order specifications to concerned departments.
- Ensure collections from clients as per contractual agreement.
- Ensure timely dispatch of goods to client's site as per delivery schedule.
- Adhere to policies/processes to enhance response quality and minimize response time to customer queries.
- Lead establishment of service centers or identify partner agencies to provide quick after-sales service to customers.
- Provide technical support to customers on after-sales related issues.
- Resolve customer complaints within predefined timelines.
- Log and update customer interaction activities in appropriate systems.
- Respond to customer queries/issues raised during finalization/execution/post-execution sales.
- Liaise with network of distributors and dealers in the territory and escalate significant issues to superiors.
- Manage dealer activities such as stock booking, raising invoices, and making payments.
- Keep abreast with territorial developments and provide data to marketing teams on potential opportunities for expansion/diversification into new markets/geographies.
