Job Title: Business Director

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the end-to-end process of new business issuance and fulfillment. This encompasses the management of work-in-progress, as well as central initiatives aimed at streamlining issuance through regular engagement with distribution teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management: The incumbent will foster strong relationships with distribution heads by engaging regularly, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements.
  • Managing New Business: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing new business issuance, ensuring daily traction on work-in-progress to meet monthly targets, driving WIP clearance through hub teams, and facilitating governance calls with HUB teams.
  • Data and Reporting: The ideal candidate will deliver reports and analysis on business parameters, enable distribution with data sets and dashboards, collaborate with internal departments on automation, and present findings to senior management as required.
  • Control and Monitoring: Compliance with AxisMaxlife and IRDAI norms will be ensured, while maintaining and updating SOPs, documenting changes in existing processes, and controlling service requests within defined SLAs.
  • Projects and Continuous Improvement: The role involves conducting benchmarking, rolling out guidelines for distribution adherence, developing team members, and measuring success through metrics such as monthly governance engagements, issuance dashboards, operational efficiencies, customer satisfaction, and project completion rates.

Requirements:
  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Management
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience, with 5 years in relationship management and Banca operations management
  • Sound knowledge of Bancassurance or Banking Operations Model, specifically operations processes
  • Good communication and analytical skills, strong data skills, customer-centric approach, process documentation, and computer skills
