Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the entire accounts and finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management & Strategy
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process to optimize cost, improve margins, and enhance profitability.
  • Develop strategies to monitor financial performance against business goals and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expansion.
  1. Accounts & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations and oversee accounting team performance to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
  1. Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other applicable laws.
  • Liaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and resolve any audit findings.
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes impacting the manufacturing and metal sector to ensure proactive compliance.
  1. Treasury & Working Capital Management
  • Manage cash flows, banking operations, and fund utilization efficiently to minimize costs and maximize returns.
  • Oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management to ensure optimal liquidity.
  • Build strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors for fund raising and project financing.
  1. Cost Control & MIS
  • Implement effective cost accounting systems to monitor production-related costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Develop and present periodic Management Information Systems (MIS) reports to management for financial performance tracking.
  • Support business units with financial analysis to aid in pricing, costing, and investment decisions.
  1. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team to ensure skill development, high performance, and a culture of integrity and compliance.
  • Establish strong internal controls and processes across the department to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Experience: 8 - 15 years post-CA qualification experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector)
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management
  • Proven track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
