Job Opportunity

The Principal Legal Counsel role is a crucial position within the organization, requiring a seasoned legal professional with significant experience in compliance and regulatory affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft and implement an effective whistleblower program with a global reach, encompassing seven pillars of corporate compliance.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations into various issues and negotiate resolutions.
  3. Collaborate on Compliance & Integrity Plans and their reviews, develop action plans, resolve problems, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes.
  4. Analyze key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to the organization, including Whistleblower Regulations, Anti-Bribery - Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Confidentiality, and commensurate processes and controls.
  5. Enhance whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms in conjunction with HR.
  6. Plan, organize, and conduct training programs to elevate the whistleblower program according to best industry standards.
  7. Interpret new regulations and laws by reviewing proposed state legislation and regulations.
  8. Develop policy administration, trainings, and regular communications proactively.
  9. Effectively manage complaints, investigations, and remediation processes.
  10. Foster collaboration with various functions like facilities, government relations, finance, and sales to support expansion initiatives.
  11. Advise on public policy, working closely with the Government Relations team.
  12. Support company positions by developing responses and defenses to complaints, investigations, and administrative proceedings.
  13. Demonstrate ability to effectively identify legal solutions to solve complex business challenges and provide precise counsel to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified lawyer with a minimum JD degree along with relevant experience as a compliance counsel.
  • Additionally, holding CA or CFA qualifications will be advantageous.
