Job Summary:
The Regional Business Operations/General Business Operations Role is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned region. The primary purpose is to assist the organization in achieving its goals and objectives in the region. The role works to improve productivity, customer relations, and service levels while increasing the business footprint and overall brand image in the given region.
Key Accountabilities- Drive Sales, Profitability, and Gross Margin Growth:
- Responsible for driving area sales and profit plans to budget through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer relationships, and outstanding execution of all field operations strategies.
- Know and manage the business by effectively using sales reports, assessing departmental results, and developing specific actions directly related to operations, business development, and growth.
- Responsible for ensuring that all employees of the region are current and up-to-date with offerings through a commitment to formalized training and development within prescribed timelines and standards.
- Accountable for ensuring that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans.
- Customer Engagement:
- Customer engagement must be driven with focus on quality, ideas, acknowledgment, and inspiration, leading to an emotional and loyal attachment in the region.
- Set high expectations for excellent customer service and hold the management team accountable to measurable results.
- Responsible for managing all clients consistently towards acceptable customer service scores and feedback.
- New Client Presentation:
- Client interfacing presentations must be point-of-differentiation aimed at getting a client excited about the uniqueness of the offering, convincing the customer on capabilities, and solutions offered, leading to a WOW factor.
- Lead the Business Development team of the region by guiding, mentoring, and training them to create the same WOW factor upon their first interactions with clients.
- Leadership and People Management:
- Ensure the overall people plan of the area reflects high standards, bench, and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.
- Coordinate with, mentor, and motivate sales and operations teams and region leadership team to help them achieve their targets and retain talent.
- Responsible for consistently communicating the company objectives to the complete region management team through organized conference calls and email communication.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations to ensure that their team is on the right path to achieving their goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Good strategic planning skills to lead the region in the recommended direction.
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills.
- Resilience and professionalism.
- Good communication skills with excellent oratory/public speaking skills.
- Goal orientation.
- Mentoring and Training.
- Strong analytical skills and skills in forecasting and Project Management.
- Prioritization of organizational needs.
Education Qualifications:
- Proven track record in the field of business operations.
- Proven track record as a business leader in similar industry or Logistics Industry and should have managed a business volume of minimum 500 crores PA.
