Accounting Specialist Job

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and processing journal entries
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performing annual tenant outgoing recovery reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Reconciling GST reports

Additionally, the Accounting Specialist will:

  • Raise monthly management fees
  • Process client remittances
  • Review all purchase orders for validity
  • Transition new properties into the portfolio and process cease management of properties at relevant times

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong finance background and commerce graduate or postgraduate qualification
  • Minimum 4-5 years operational/general ledger accounting and finance experience
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, logical thinking and positive attitude
  • Impactful communication (written and verbal) to interact with clients and strong interpersonal skills

Performance objectives include:

  • Identifying key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data
  • Working within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Making sound decisions using standard procedures
