Job Title: Team Lead - Subtitling Coordination

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to oversee our subtitling coordination team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and developing your team members, ensuring the smooth scheduling and rescheduling of work, monitoring projects, and maintaining high levels of performance and utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Lead and supervise localization coordinators, setting clear objectives and aligning them with the team's vision.
  • Communicate expectations, goals, and feedback to the group regularly and resolve any concerns or issues proactively.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the Translator Support team to report linguist pool health and plan capacity for rare languages.
  • Identify and address conflicts early, facilitating discussions and finding satisfactory solutions for all parties involved.
  • Manage the team's morale, attrition, development, coaching, and working with team members to communicate their performance, feedback, and development areas.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress and plan future activities.
  • Conduct timely 1:1s with all coordinators.
  • Drive HR processes and policies within the team and support managers as needed.
  • Ensure the team meets project deadlines and goals, participates in required training sessions, and maintains high-quality standards.
  • Generate reports on team performance, track KPIs and SLAs, and work with Assistant Managers to correct issues or negative trends.
  • Foster effective handovers across shifts and manage email inboxes to ensure timely responses.
  • Address user payments and monitor pending actions.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to absorb tasks during the Assistant Manager's absence.
  • Drive continuous improvement in coordination and communication quality within the team.
  • Mentor Subject Matter Experts to enhance their skills.

  • Candidate must have a graduate degree.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Good time management skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • A keen interest in the media industry is preferred.
