Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the HR team in various activities, including recruitment, onboarding, data management, performance management, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives.

This position requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workload, and maintaining confidentiality in all matters related to HR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition: Partner with school leaders to define staffing needs, ensure timely fulfillment, and manage the end-to-end hiring process, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offer rollout.
  • HR Operations, Data & Compliance: Oversee all HR operations for Nagpur schools, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining accurate HR MIS and personnel records, and supporting internal audits.
  • People Engagement & Culture: Serve as a key HR partner to schools in addressing team-level concerns, people issues, and morale challenges, promote a positive work environment, and facilitate conversations around team culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant work experience in HR roles.
  • Proven experience in hiring and HR data management.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to own a piece of work from start to finish.
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology. A proven track record of successfully working in development and non-profit sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
