Business Development Lead

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive business growth in the petrochemicals vertical, focusing on oil rigs and exploration assets.

The successful candidate will have 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector. A proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies, is essential. Strong global networks in the petrochemical space, particularly in coastal countries with active oil rigs, are also required.

The role involves identifying, evaluating, and pursuing strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally. The Business Development Lead will drive M&A strategy end-to-end – target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration. They will also develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.

Leveraging existing networks and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector are critical aspects of this role. Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams – legal, finance, technical – to execute deals smoothly is also a key responsibility. Representing the company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences will be an added advantage.
