The Opportunity: Director of Business Growth & Operations
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Director of Business Growth & Operations to lead our expansion efforts in India. This is a pivotal remote role where your primary focus (approximately 80%) will be on spearheading revenue generation and market penetration, with the remaining 20% dedicated to optimizing operational efficiencies that directly support our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities (80% Revenue Generation Focus)
Strategic Revenue Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive revenue growth strategies for the Indian market, aligning with overall company objectives and identifying new market opportunities.
Hands-on Execution & Direct Sales: Drive aggressive sales targets, manage the entire sales pipeline from lead generation to close, and personally engage with key accounts and strategic prospects. This includes a willingness to get hands-on at all levels, including making cold calls and direct outreach when necessary to achieve targets.
Network & Connection Leverage: Mandatory responsibility to leverage existing professional networks and connections to identify and secure new business opportunities, driving immediate revenue generation.
Market Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and penetrate new customer segments and geographical areas within India to expand our market share.
Partnership Development: Forge and nurture strategic partnerships, alliances, and channel programs that contribute significantly to revenue growth.
P&L Management: Take direct ownership of the P&L for the India region, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
Pricing & GTM Strategy: Collaborate with product and marketing teams to refine pricing strategies and go-to-market plans that maximize revenue and competitive advantage.
Performance Analytics: Establish and monitor key revenue metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV), analyze performance data, and implement data-driven adjustments to optimize growth initiatives.
Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new growth avenues and maintain a competitive edge.
Operational Responsibilities (20% Operational Efficiency Focus)
Process Optimization: Streamline and improve operational processes related to sales, customer onboarding, and service delivery to ensure scalability and efficiency as we grow.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, finance, and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives and a positive customer experience.
Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular, accurate revenue forecasts and performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales leadership, or growth roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position focused on revenue generation.
Revenue Generation Prowess: Demonstrable track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets and driving significant business growth in the Indian market, particularly within EdTech & Franchise Industry. This includes a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude and a willingness to be hands-on with all aspects of the sales cycle, including direct outreach and cold calling. A proven ability to generate at least INR 50 Lakhs (5 million) in individual direct sales is a mandatory requirement.
Network & Connections: A robust existing professional network and strong connections that can be immediately leveraged for business development and revenue generation.
Strategic Acumen: Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop actionable growth plans, and execute them effectively.
Leadership & Management: Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing remote teams.
Operational Excellence: Understanding of operational workflows and the ability to optimize processes to support rapid growth.
Data-Driven Mindset: Proficient in using data and analytics to inform decisions, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Commitment & Availability: A strong commitment to achieving ambitious targets, with the flexibility and dedication to be fully active Monday to Friday (approx. 7 AM to 11 PM IST), and available/active on weekends as business needs dictate to drive critical initiatives and meet deadlines. While micromanagement is not encouraged, a total dedication to work and business growth is paramount.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and remote work environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Location: Residing in India with the ability to work effectively in a remote setup.
