Job Title: Business Finance Director

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Finance Director to drive our financial strategy and contribute to the growth of our consumer durables and fashion/lifestyle brands across Asia.


You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that support business expansion, improve profitability, and enhance customer experience. Your expertise in financial planning, analysis, and management will play a critical role in shaping our business decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans to achieve revenue growth and sustainable profit margins.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to inform business decisions and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support business development initiatives, including M&A, partnerships, and new product launches.


Requirements:


* 4-5 years of finance experience, preferably in retail/e-commerce, with significant exposure to Asian markets.


* Strong understanding of multi-channel retail (online/offline) and cross-border operations in Asia, with hands-on experience navigating diverse regulatory environments and local market nuances.


* Proven track record of driving businesses through inception and scaling stages, setting up financial frameworks for new ventures, and leading expansions that scaled revenue while improving profitability.


* Excellent strategic finance and business partnership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decisions to drive growth and margin improvement.


* Expertise in financial planning & analysis and margin management for consumer products, including managing inventory turns and markdowns to protect profitability.


* Data-driven and tech-savvy, experienced in leveraging modern tools for forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision support to enhance the speed and quality of financial insights.
