Job Title: Purchasing Preventive Quality Specialist for Injection Molding Tooling

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our tooling components. Your experience with machinery such as CNC milling, HSM, EDM, Wire cut, Grinding, CMM, and Laser welding machines is crucial in manufacturing mold tool components according to Work Instructions and Process Quality Instructions.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repair of injection molds and associated dies and fixtures.
  • Utilize tool management system knowledge to improve spare part quality and optimize stock levels.
  • Develop mechanical designs for new mold tools on existing products/projects.
  • Conduct design reviews with tool suppliers to ensure lessons learned and design standards are implemented.
  • Perform new tool tryouts and troubleshoot any issues.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be required to:

  • Have good knowledge of Tool Design software (MFA, Catia, ProE).
  • Possess experience in a tool room environment, creating dies, punches, and fixtures.
  • Understand interpretation of tool and engineering drawings, GD&T, sketches, templates, manuals, etc.
  • Be skilled in Mold Tool supplier development, coordination, and negotiations.
  • Have basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Process Audits, and Special Processes (IATF-16949, VDA6.3 & CQI 23).
  • Have hands-on experience with SPC.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Polymer, Tool Design, and Manufacturing).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in purchasing quality/quality management systems.
