Job Description

As a Training and Development Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying training needs for each role holder within an assigned division. You will engage with business leaders, field managers, and the marketing team to put in place a comprehensive training calendar and ensure timely execution of relevant training interventions.

  1. Engage with sales team members and managers regularly to understand their challenges and facilitate the exchange of training-related information. Ensure all sales team members are trained on relevant products and skills in a timely manner.
  2. Collaborate with the PMT and Medical Affairs teams to continuously update training modules, ensuring all content is current, relevant, and impactful.
  3. Deliver classroom or virtual training as per guidelines in various training programs for new hires. Evaluate and select participants who meet standards, providing them with detailed medical/scientific and product understanding, selling skills, and conducting role plays for practical application of learning.
  4. Evaluate participants based on prescribed parameters, follow up, and engage with participants and their managers for ongoing development and learning.
  5. Identify, collate, and analyze learning needs of sales teams on functional competencies, deciding on course action in discussion with team leaders.
  6. Ensure process adherence, compliance with departmental guidelines, and promptness in administration and day-to-day work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Science graduate; MBA desirable
  • At least 3-4 years of experience as a training manager with in-depth understanding of medical and therapy, and pharma selling scenarios, focusing on how a medical rep/ASM works
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, training skills, analytical abilities, and strong interpersonal effectiveness
