Reservation Manager

Prime Function:
- Plan and coordinate room reservations to maximize room revenues.
- Develop and implement effective selling techniques and strategies to increase room sales.
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the reservation department's operations.
- Communicate any matters affecting the hotel's interests to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Planning- Prepare and submit timely forecasts for review.
- Develop and maintain monthly reports, forecasts, and other relevant reports.
- Assist in the development of occupancy forecasts for the annual budget.
- Provide effective support to the team to ensure efficient services.
- Respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the team is trained on all safety provisions.
- Optimize the use of resources and educate the team on cost-effective practices.
- Maintain and update the corporate database to ensure accurate guest information.
- Assist in the development of occupancy forecasts for the annual budget.
- Ensure the team refers to guest history before creating a guest folio.
- Position the hotel accurately in terms of occupancy and room availability.
- Record corporate account numbers on guest folios to monitor business generated.
- Calculate overbooking and provide discounts and corporate rates as per company policy.
- Supervise and delegate work to reservation associates.
- Record all reservations according to standard procedures.
- Handle additional responsibilities as delegated by management.
- Develop leadership skills that utilize persuasion and motivation to attain organizational goals.
- Accept responsibility and demonstrate self-confidence, motivation, and tenacity.
- Enhance organizational performance and delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Think strategically, inductively, and creatively, and recognize and acknowledge others' ideas.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace and storage areas.
- Respect safety guidelines and equipment instructions.
- Apply hotel security regulations and respect environmental commitments.
