Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner Manager serves as a strategic link between an organization's workforce and its business model. This role requires the creation of strategic policies, line manager and leadership training, and other tasks demanding specialized skills.

This position involves acting as a critical advisor to assigned Business Unit leaders and managers on disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, talent development, recognition, compensation, benefits, and leave.

The HR Business Partner Manager also supports Human Resources functions and administration, including maintaining records in multiple HR systems.

  • Manages confidential and complex employee relations investigations.
  • Drives organizational structure and strategic alignment through wide-ranging programs that leverage change management principles.
  • Applies sound business acumen to interpret key performance indicators and understand current state versus desired outcomes.
  • Effectively prepares comprehensive communication plans to gain support, execute vision, develop metrics to measure success, and review effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Analyzes internal and external trends, data, and metrics with the HR Data Analytics team and other stakeholders to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Provides leadership for a wide range of programs, including diversity, equity, and inclusion, talent management and development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Puts the organization's talent and human resources strategy into action.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to HR generalists, management, and other personnel as needed.
  • Supervises the hiring process for qualified job candidates, particularly for managerial, specialized, and expert positions.
  • Works with division managers to determine qualifications and abilities needed for open positions.
  • Reviews policies and processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Handles disciplinary proceedings, terminations, and investigations involving employees.
  • Determines and recommends changes to internal standards of conduct, such as team restructuring and morale boosting.
  • Provides clarity and connectivity for employees so that their responsibilities fit the overall corporate strategy.
  • Champions the onboarding process by ensuring it is high-quality and current.
  • Establishes and implements orientation and training programs to help with recruitment efforts and get employees equipped for their roles.
