Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Specialist to lead our renewable energy project land procurement efforts in Maharashtra.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels through technical feasibility assessments, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong understanding of land acquisition processes and regulations in Maharashtra, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate potential land parcels for acquisition and negotiate agreements with landowners.
  • Lead the end-to-end land acquisition process, including building relationships with local stakeholders and ensuring legal sanctity of land through coordination with our legal teams.
  • Oversee Right of Way (RoW) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Address conflict resolution and handle any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in land acquisition, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of land laws and regulations in Maharashtra.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
