About the Role

Project Development Manager

You will oversee and manage land acquisition activities for wind projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Development, you will play a crucial role in creating a land pool for under construction wind projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project development activities and collaborate with different departments for land acquisition and related tasks for wind projects.
  • Identify suitable developers/aggregators for wind energy projects with primary focused states.
  • Ensure adherence to statutes and regulations related to land, forest, and other related approvals.
  • Assess risks in land acquisition and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Lead legal due diligence and documentation with internal/external lawyers and ensure clear and marketable title of the potential land before acquisition.

Our Ideal Candidate

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in Land procurement/acquisition for Wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition processes including procurement leasing easement etc for renewable power projects.
  • Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
