Procurement Manager Job Description

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. They will analyze business needs, identify suitable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to achieve cost savings and improve service quality.

Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end commercial and procurement aspects within IT categories such as hardware, software, outsourcing services, cloud, and SaaS. This involves analyzing spend categorization, leading strategic/tactical projects, drafting detailed statements of work, and managing senior stakeholders to establish relationships.

The Procurement Manager must have excellent negotiation and influencing skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience working with electronic procurement tools. They should also possess a solid understanding of end-to-end Source/Procure-to-Pay processes and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Significant experience of procurement/sourcing and contracting for Cloud Services.
  • Understanding of how to analyze a category cost structure.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, at same and higher level of organization.
  • Experience or good understanding of electronic procurement/sourcing tools (Ariba, Ivalua, PeopleSoft, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Source/Procure-to-Pay processes and tools.
  • Engineering Graduate.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.
