Job Title: General Manager - Trade Marketing Consumer Goods/Pharma

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Trade Marketing efforts for Consumer Goods and Pharma. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade marketing, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving market share.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive trade marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop tailored trade programs for key channels, ensuring optimal product positioning and promotions.
  • Lead the execution of in-store activations, promotions, and point-of-sale initiatives to maximize consumer engagement and drive retail performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, negotiating trade terms and ensuring effective collaboration on joint business plans.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to refine trade marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Oversee trade marketing budget allocation, ensuring efficient resource utilization and maximizing ROI on promotional investments.
  • Partner with the sales team to align trade marketing plans with sales objectives, driving consistent execution across regions.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of trade marketing activities using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales uplift, market share, and ROI, and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
  • MBA or equivalent degree in Marketing or Business from a top-tier institute in India (2012-14 batch).
  • Proven experience in trade marketing within FMCG or retail sectors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, shopper insights, and retail operations.
