
Senior Business Development Manager

Main Responsibilities:
- Cultivate Relationships: Identify and target potential organisations, importers, hospitals and clients in international markets.
- Build Strong Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, while understanding their needs and requirements.
- Negotiate Pricing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with international customers.
- Pricing Strategies: Optimise pricing strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
- Weekly Update: Provide weekly update to senior management on export sales performance, market insights, and strategies.
Market Development:
- Develop Strategic Plan: Develop and implement a strategic plan for expanding our product exports to existing and new markets.
- Identify Potential Markets: Identify potential markets and segments with the highest growth potential.
- Evaluate Strategy: Evaluate and adjust the strategy based on market dynamics and competition.
- Tentative Exhibition Plan: Preparing tentative exhibition plan along with financial budget requirements.
- Marketing Materials: Preparation of Marketing material, product brochures and client presentations through MS Office and online tools.
Market Research:
- Stay Updated: Stay updated on international market trends, trade regulations, and economic factors.
- Conduct Market Research: Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats in different regions.
- Customer Feedback: Evaluate customer feedback and take corrective action.
Country Import Regulations & Customs Laws:
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with export regulations, trade laws, and customs requirements in various countries.
- Documentation: Handle documentation, such as Bills of Lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, invoices, and commercial agreements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: At least Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Business, Business Management (Sales & Marketing), Digital Marketing, Pharmaceutical / Hospital Management).
- International B2B Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an International B2B sales and business development role in a pharmaceutical / healthcare / medical device company is mandatory.
- Global Healthcare Tenders: Awareness and focused experience on Global Healthcare tenders (NGOs & MOH requirements) / Named Patient Supplies for Unregistered products / 'Special Permit Imports' in developing markets, would be highly preferred.
- Marketing Material Preparation: Prior experience of working on marketing material preparation and participation in Global Healthcare Exhibitions would be preferred.
- Results-Driven: Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding export sales targets.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel internationally as required (approx. 3 - 4 times in a year). Adaptability to different international markets and cultures.
- Proficient in Tools: Proficient in Generative AI tools usage, Email writing, MS Office, international B2B client connect and online marketing tools.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible Individual: Responsible, ethical and organised individual with attention to detail required.
- Proactive Approach: Proactiveness in understanding client requirements and strong commitment to provide exceptional client service.
- Pharma GMP/GDP Knowledge: Understanding of Cold Chain temperature maintenance, adequate pharma packaging, as per Pharma GMP/GDP norms, would be appreciated.
