Job Overview

The Chief Financial Strategist will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our software development unit, ensuring effective financial management and alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Optimization: Develop and manage the IT budget to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and maximize resource utilization.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements and MIS to provide valuable insights on IT spending and resource allocation.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Project Costing: Collaborate with IT leaders to assess project costs and financial impacts, ensuring accurate forecasting and planning.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies, maintaining a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Revenue Management: Oversee revenue recognition as per billing milestones, contract, and engagement letters, and collection thereof as per agreed credit norms.
  • Vendor Management: Optimize vendor contracts and relationships to minimize costs and enhance value.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and drive growth.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
  • 6-8 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the IT/ITES sector, in a software development unit.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable information and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Adaptive and responsible leadership skills, with a focus on building a high-performing team culture.
