Job Title CDP Chinese Cuisine Job Summary The Chef de Partie CDP in the Chinese section is responsible for preparing cooking and presenting Chinese dishes to the highest standards The CDP will oversee a specific area within the Chinese kitchen ensure timely preparation and maintain high levels of food quality safety and hygiene Key Responsibilities Prepare cook and present Chinese cuisine including traditional and contemporary dishes Manage a specific section of the kitchen such as wok dim sum or soup ensuring the section is clean and organized Work with the Sous Chef and kitchen team to develop new Chinese dishes and maintain consistency in preparation Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in the preparation cooking and presentation of dishes Ensure all dishes are prepared to order and delivered on time with attention to detail in taste presentation and portion size Monitor food stock and ingredients for the Chinese section ordering ingredients as needed and minimizing wastage Maintain high standards of cleanliness ensuring that the section adheres to health and safety regulations Assist in menu planning pricing and costing of Chinese dishes Maintain knowledge of industry trends and continuously introduce new techniques and ideas for Chinese cuisine Work closely with other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service Adhere to all kitchen safety protocols and maintain proper storage of food and ingredients Skills Qualifications Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a Chinese kitchen In-depth knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and regional Chinese cuisines e g Cantonese Sichuan Hunan Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage high-pressure situations Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor junior staff Excellent time management and organizational skills Keen attention to detail ensuring consistency in presentation and taste Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards Culinary certification or relevant experience in Chinese cuisine is preferred Work Conditions Will work in a busy kitchen environment involving exposure to heat cooking odors and noise Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required Job Type Full-time Pay 30 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Benefits Flexible schedule Food provided Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Work Location In person
