Brief about Role:
To drive sales growth by building strong relationships with real estate developers and builders, promoting company products for residential and commercial projects, and ensuring specification and order closures in alignment with business goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with real estate developers, builders, and construction companies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., procurement heads, project managers, site engineers).
- Promote building material products such as Hardware, Plywood, Paint, construction chemicals, glass, wood panels, etc., depending on the company's portfolio.
- Generate inquiries and follow up on project leads through market mapping, cold calling, site visits, and client meetings.
- Work closely with internal teams for quotation, pricing, delivery timelines, and technical support.
- Ensure products are specified in BOQs/tender documents by actively engaging with project consultants and procurement teams.
- Maintain detailed records of project pipelines and provide regular sales forecasts and MIS reports.
- Stay updated on local market trends, new project launches, and competitor activities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of project sales and builder segment operations.
- Good communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet sales targets, and manage field activities.
- Comfortable with regular travel within the assigned territory.
- Understanding of construction cycle and project stakeholder ecosystem (developer, contractor, architect, PMC, etc.).
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Graduate in any discipline (Civil Engineering / Architecture preferred).
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
- 2-7 years of experience in project sales or B2B business development in the building materials industry.
- Prior experience in dealing with developers, builders, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
