Job Description About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Draughtsman to join our team in Kochi, India. This role is ideal for candidates with 34 years of hands-on experience in preparing E&I drawings for Oil & Gas or Modular Building projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical drafting skills, a good understanding of engineering standards, and experience working closely with engineers to deliver accurate project drawings. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, update, and revise E&I drawings, including cable routing, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, load schedules, and instrumentation layouts. Develop detailed engineering drawings based on inputs from E&I engineers and project teams. Work on drawings for Oil & Gas, industrial, and modular building sectors, ensuring they meet project requirements. Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and P&IDs to create accurate AutoCAD drawings. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate with engineering, architectural, structural, and MEP teams to maintain alignment across all project drawings. Assist in preparing as-built drawings based on site markups and engineering revisions. Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing registers. Support engineers during design reviews by incorporating comments and revisions promptly. Provide accurate technical drafting support throughout the project lifecycle. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline. 34 years of experience in E&I drafting for Oil & Gas or Modular Building projects (mandatory). Strong expertise in AutoCAD and knowledge of drafting standards. Good understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation layouts, and industrial drawings. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, SLDs, and engineering specifications. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in modular building or container-based engineering projects. Knowledge of E&I materials, panel schedules, and cable management systems. Familiarity with tools like EPLAN or SmartPlant (optional advantage).
