E&I Draughtsman

Job Description About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Junior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Draughtsman to join our TMBS team in Kochi. This role is ideal for candidates who have 12 years of experience in MEP or E&I drawing preparation and are eager to grow in the engineering and modular building sector. The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in AutoCAD drafting, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn industry standards and project workflows. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and update Electrical & Instrumentation drawings, including layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Create detailed MEP drawings based on project requirements and engineering inputs. Assist senior engineers in preparing load schedules, cable routing, panel layouts, and related technical drawings. Interpret and understand technical specifications, engineering sketches, and design notes accurately. Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, safety guidelines, and project specifications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, civil, and architectural departments to ensure drawing alignment. Participate in design revision processes and incorporate corrections as per engineer feedback. Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings. Support the team in preparing drawings for Oil & Gas, Modular Building, and Industrial Projects. Assist in reviewing on-site markups and preparing accurate as-built drawings when required. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field. 12 years of experience in E&I or MEP drawing preparation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and exposure to drafting standards. Basic understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation layouts, and MEP design principles. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams. Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in modular building projects or industrial environments. Exposure to systems like PLC, instrumentation loops, and cable scheduling. Familiarity with drafting software other than AutoCAD (e.g., EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
